1. Department of Energy Invites Scouts for Merit Badge Opportunity (h/t Pete Collat, District STEM Coord.)
The United States Department of Energy invites Scouts to its Energy and Nuclear Science merit badge day at the DOE Cafeteria,
1000 Independence Avenue, SW (across from the Smithsonian "castle") on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration will open on Oct. 6 at 11 a.m.
The two merit badge classes being offered will also meet part of the Science, Technology, and Engineering and Math (STEM) requirements for the Boy Scouts Supernova award.
