The wind is blowing the leaves down. It’s time to get our rakes!
Leaf raking season is here. Sign up today for the first weekend of Troop 149’s annual leaf raking fundraiser for Rise Against Hunger (formerly called Stop Hunger Now). We’ll be out raking leaves the weekend of Nov. 11 and 12 to raise money for meals that we’ll help package in February. We’ll rake again during the first weekend of December (Dec. 2 and 3).
Raking is a lot more fun with a crowd, and we need 100% participation to make this fundraiser work. To accommodate different schedules, we will rake on Saturday, Nov. 11, starting right after Scouting for Food, and on Sunday, Nov. 12. We'll work from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. We will rake more yards over more hours in December, once we have more leaves on the ground.

Scouts should sign up for at least two hours—that is, 2 one-hour shifts. At least one adult is needed for each team of scouts.
Note whether you can bring a rake, tarp, leaf blower, broom, etc.
