149 will have the run of Sportrock Alexandria from 8pm on Sat Feb 3rd to 8am Sunday Feb 4th.
After an orientation, Scouts can climb all night, Scouts who get tired can "camp out".
In the morning, as time permits, there will be the opportunity to climb more before we clean up and pack out.
We will meet at the church at 7pm on Sat Feb 3 and should return by 9am on Sunday.
Fees are $48.15 for both Scouts and Adults (this covers climbing fees, pizza, and cold breakfast), payable by PayPal.
There is a opportunity for up to 12 scouts to earn the climbing merit badge. For those that are interested there is an additional $50 fee payable directly to Sportrock. Blue cards, as always, must be obtained from Mr. Vargas prior to starting the merit badge. Additionally you will need to have completed Requirements 1 and 2 of the Climbing merit badge (first aid and leave no trace) prior to the Sportrock lock-in.
More notes:
1. Bring a pad and sleeping bag. We sleep on the floor
2. Per Mrs. Vargas: Scouts are expected to bring AND USE toothbrushes, dental floss, and mouthwash.
