Eagle Scout Project -- Liam O'C -- AFAC planter boxes

Hello Troop 149,

I know the school year may be coming to an end, but Eagle Scout Projects are still going strong.

My name is Liam O’Cy and I will be doing my Eagle Scout project on June 19th, in about two weeks time.

My project involves constructing 5 planter boxes for the AFAC community garden, on Walter Reed Drive. My project will allow AFAC to plant and grow more crops. These crops go directly to AFAC’s main facility where the produce is shipped to low income families, who could otherwise not afford to purchase it. In addition, my project will improve the overall appearance of the garden.

I am only holding one project date. On the 19th we will remove the current rubber planter boxes, assemble, and install new 6 foot planter boxes.

I will provide snacks and refreshments to those who volunteer.

Not only is this a great way to get volunteer hours, but it is also a great way to give back to the community. Please consider signing up for my Eagle Scout Project!
