Whitewater Rafting, June 3-5, 2016




Target Audience:  All Scouts must pass the BSA swim test in order to participate.  If you took and passed a swim test at Goshen, Sinoquipe, Lenhok'sin, etc within the last year, then you are eligible.  Others, including adults, must schedule and pass the swim test before the trip.  Contact Alison if you need a swim test.
When:   June 5 - June 7, 2015
Where:  Lower Yough River. Scouts will camp at Brenner Campground, PA.

Cost / Payment:  Approximately $125/person, payable to Troop149.   Exact amount to come soon.  Registration closes on Memorial day.  After Memorial Day we can not issue refunds, unless you have a doctor’s note.
Travel Details:   Meet at the church on Friday at 4:45.  Will return on Sunday around 12 or 1pm.
Meal Info:  
Friday:  Bag lunch in the car while traveling
Saturday:  All meals will be provided by the tour company.  
Sunday: Scouts bring their own breakfast for Sunday morning.
Equipment Required:  
Swim wear / clothes that can get wet.
Bring a light jacket to wear under your lifejacket.
Wear shoes that can get wet (no Crocs or flip flops!).  
The water can be cold so bring clothes to warm up in.  
Other:
Bring a few dollars. The Outfitter sells snacks and the Scouts often like a treat (e.g., an ice cream bar) after the rafting trip.
Guides in boats:  Adults, when you sign up please indicate if you want to be in a raft with a guide.  We will have guides for all boats with Scouts.

Permission Slips:  
For Scouts, 2 forms: BSA form + Wilderness Voyageurs waiver form for minors.
For Adults, 1 form: Wilderness Voyageurs waiver form for adults. 
Sign-Up Instructions:  First Name and Last Initial only.  No last names please.  Adults indicate if want to be in a boat with guide.
