Sean O'B's Eagle Scout Project -- CUMC improvements

Hi all, I am Sean O and am a Life Scout in the troop. I have been in Troop 149 for many years, and now I am excited to begin my Eagle Project.

My project consists building a door to enter the Troop room from the adjacent utility closet, so we do not have to go through the preschool office. This work has been requested by the Church and the preschool and benefits both of those groups.

There are three days we are going to work on my project. The first of which is the next Troop meeting, May 21. We plan to clean out the troop room that day, and throw away stuff we don't need. If you plan to help out on that date, you do not have to sign up. If you come to the meeting and sign in with me, you can get some service hours.

The other two days (Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10), we will be doing the actual demolition and building of the door. We will be meeting at CUMC in Montgomery hall for these days. For each day, there will be two 3 hour shifts (9:00-12:00) and (12:30-15:30), and lunch will be provided from 12:00 to 12:30. If you wish to attend these dates, please sign up. In addition to scouts, I also need adults to operate some power tools.

This project is a great way to give back to Cherrydale United Methodist Church for all they have done to support our troop and will count as service hours for advancement. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email or phone, below. I can't wait to get started!
