Projectoree 2019 -- sign up now!

When: May 3–5, 2019

Where: Camp Wilson (Pohick Bay), a few miles from the Lorton Exit off I-95.

What is the Projectoree?

The Projectoree is like a mini-Olympic competition among numerous troops from the Chain Bridge District.  Scouts from the Chain Bridge District will compete for bragging rights in each game. Each game is run by senior scouts from their respective Troops. Class Bs for competing--either a Projectoree t-shirt or other Scout t-shirt.

The games (and Troops running them) this year are:

  • Canteen Pour (638+164)
  • Hula Hoops (162)
  • Synchronized Walk (167)
  • Tire Pass-Through (128)
  • Egg Relay (149)
  • Egg Toss (1130?)
  • Hot Lava Relay (?)
  • Water Relay (647)
  • Firebuilding (624 + 2535)
  • Obstacle Course (111)

After the games comes a dodgeball tournament, the Scoutmaster chariot race (pictured above) and service hours opportunities.

Saturday Night Activities:

All Troops will perform a skit or song at the closing bonfire. There will also be an American flag retirement ceremony, more songs (Ghost Riders?), and the announcement of the Projectoree results.

Fees: $18.98 without a T-Shirt, $28.98 with a Projectoree T-Shirt

Timing: We'll leave from the Church promptly at 5pm on Friday and return on Sunday around 10-11am.

Meals: Bring dinner so we can head straight into camp. Plan for breakfast Saturday and Sunday, and dinner Saturday. No need to plan for Saturday lunch: hot dogs and chips are provided.

Any questions, email ASM Michael O'Brien

(NOTE TO SCOUTS: Do NOT answer any of the questions about adults and driving!)

(NOTE TO ADULTS: Please enter a SEPARATE line for yourself if you are driving/attending. It's much easier to separate for head count that way. Thanks!)

(NOTE TO ALL: Sign up now ends April 29 at 6PM... you can no longer order a t-shirt)
