Swim Test offered at Camp Snyder!

All: National Capital Area Council will be offering a certified BSA swim test on Sunday, May 19, from 1-4 PM. Given the difficulty we have had in past years to find a location to do a swim test for Scouts who need it, this is a great opportunity that I would like to take advantage of. It's at Camp Snyder, which is in Haymarket VA, which is a 40 minute drive, which is a drag, but this will be way easier, trust me.

• ANY Scout OR adult (yes, adult) who is planning on attending the Whitewater Rafting trip MUST take this swim test. 

(And by the way, sign up for the rafting trip! We only have 7 Scouts signed up currently. This is an incredibly disappointing turnout. I will remind our older Scouts that there is an "active in troop" requirement for Eagle that includes attending campouts. Signups end May 10.)

• ANY Scout who will be attending the Summit in June MUST take this swim test.

ANY Scout OR adult who is going to Sinoquipe should take this test, but if you don't, you can take it at Sinoquipe. (It just saves a lot of time if most of our Scouts have already taken the test prior to arriving.)

We will try to offer a local swim test for any who can't make this date, but we cannot promise we will be able to. Taking the swim test at this time is your best and maybe only opportunity.

Cost will be $3 but we need a minimum of 10 Scouts attending. I'll send a PayPal link once we reach the minimum.

Deadline for signup is May 12! So sign up for the rafting trip, then sign up for the swim test.
