Leaf Raking - Saturday Nov 7

Leaves on falling, and that means it’s time for the annual Troop 149 Leaf Raking fundraiser for Stop Hunger Now.
Here’s how to help:

1.     1. Sign up to volunteer.
2.     2. Spread the word on your neighborhood listserv.

Some changes this year:

We raised the suggested donation to more accurately reflect the work you are doing. Also, we will no longer be bagging leaves.

Scouts will sign up for times and we will assign teams at your meeting time.

We need 100% participation to make this work. To accommodate different schedules, we will rake on a Saturday, Nov. 7, after Scouting for Food, and on a Sunday, Dec. 6. If you can, sign up for both days!

Sign up today for the Nov. 7 event at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/30E0C4EA8AE2EA57-leaf2
Sign up for two hours—that is, two one-hour shifts.

If you live in a neighborhood other than Cherrydale or Maywood, please submit the following to your neighborhood listserv:

Let the Boy Scouts of Troop 149 rake up your leaves and support a great cause at the same time.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, the Troop will rake yards for donations that will help fund Stop Hunger Now.
The boys will be out from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sign up for your team today!

Go to the Troop’s signup sheet on Eventbrite at www.troop149rakes.eventbrite.com

The boys will collect the suggested donation ($100 per hour) after they rake. Checks should be made to CUMC (Cherrydale United Methodist Church), which will host the Stop Hunger Now event in February to prepare thousands of dehydrated meals for hungry people throughout the world.
